Writing and Reading

September 1, 2010

Some students have asked for advice on how to improve their pronounciation. The best advice, I can give, is to join student organizations and make some American friends through organizations which interest you. For a list of student organizations at TAMUCC, please click on the following link: http://ucso.tamucc.edu/all_organizations.html

Also, listening to news programs, such as National Public Radio, is helpful because the speakers on these programs are clear and concise.

The purpose for this assignment is to teach you writing, drafting, and editing skills for the personal narrative; it will also serve as a foundation for your scholarship essay (which we’ll do next).
